Nomination Process:

Sponsoring companies should extend offers for membership to all cadets and midshipmen on campus who meet the above standards. Formal invitations are available for this purpose.  Download the Society Pledge Manual from this site, and see that each candidate thoroughly understands the history, purpose and activities of Scabbard and Blade. A Pledge Test may be downloaded form this site and administered to the candidates to insure they understand the basic principals of the Society.  Sponsoring companies may add additional requirements to the pledge process, however any form of hazing is strictly forbidden.

An appointed company officer in charge of the pledge process should see that each successful candidate is registered on this site as a new member. Each candidate will pay a one-time initiation fee during the registration process, and should also enter information, to include uploading a photo in uniform, for a Profile Page to complete the registration.

The appointed pledge program officer further should complete the online Report of Intent to Initiate form, or, email the national office (ddollar@scabbardandblade.org ) a notification with the following information: the name of each candidate registered on this site for membership, a statement verifying that all candidates so nominated have successfully completed the company’s pledge process and meet all requirements for membership in the Society, the name of the responsible pledge officer along with a contact phone number and email address.

All applications will be reviewed by the National Executive Director, and the profile page for each approved candidate will be activated. Complete membership packets will be shipped to the Company pledge officer at the address of the appropriate ROTC office.  Uniform items may be ordered on this Web site.
