Under the command of CDT CDR Jennifer Schnacky and CDT XO Alice Bechtol, 24 Cadets & Midshipmen representing/pledging Alpha Company, 1st Scabbard and Regiment of Madison met on Sunday October 24, 2010. Members from each branch of service covered the basics of their branch and also life as a Cadet and/or Midshipman. Everyone learned valuable joint information and had some good laughs while doing so! After the mixer, the members enjoyed seeing the Green Bay Packers beat the hated Minnesota Vikings!

Members of the "Mother Company" are starting to get more comfortable with each other and friendships are beginning to form. For Veteran's Day, the Company plans to present Scabbard and Blade Coins to honor veterans in front of the original Scabbard and Blade Flagpole (erected in 1932 and rededicated in 2005 at the Centennial Convention) and later go to the VA Hospital.
