Lt. Gen. Randall L.
Rigby is well educated. In addition to being an outstanding Oklahoma
State University alumnus, he is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College.
That's no surprise for the man who served as the Army’s Chief of
Artillery and Deputy Commanding General of the U.S. Army's Training and
Doctrine Command, before retiring.
Armed with an OSU
degree in psychology, Rigby continued his educational quest with a
master's degree in Experimental Psychology and an MBA, in addition to
Marine Corps Amphibious Warfare School and Army Command and General
Staff College.
Rigby was the
company captain of K Company, Second Regiment, at OSU. He was named a
Distinguished Alumnus of the university in 2001.
"I was always
disposed to the military as a life's work," Rigby relates. "But I give
credit to OSU for instilling in me the desire to serve in a leadership
position and to continue my education in order to reach my career
goals."
Military duties have
taken Rigby from Alaska to Korea, from Vietnam to Fort Sill, from
Commanding General to the U.S. Military Academy at
West Point,
where he was a Psychology instructor.
Military dress for
Rigby includes medals for Distinguished Service, Legion of Merit, Bronze
Star, Meritorious Service, Army Commendation and Achievement, all with
Oak Leaf Clusters attachments.
